La Casa del Arriero was once a humble little village house where the old muleteer lived with his wife and 10 children! Amazingly they all slept downstairs (sometimes 3 or 4 to a bed) as the upstairs was used to store animal feed for the mules and pigs they kept.

As you can imagine the house looks quite different now as it has been extensively renovated into a very romantic and comfortable little hideaway. It even has it´s own WIFI connection! The house is located down a quiet 'cul de sac' in the upper part of the village of Cortes de la Frontera, and so has breathtaking views of the surrounding valley and mountains.

Kitchen

Downstairs is an open plan kitchen/dining room with a washing machine and a good sized fridge. This leads into a very comfortable sitting room with 2 sofas, lots of games and a wood burner for those cooler winter evenings. Beyond the living room there is a downstairs bedroom with 2 single beds (ideal for children) and beyond that a bathroom with a shower. You can also enjoy secluded "al-fresco" dining in the plant-filled back patio.

Bedroom

Upstairs is a beautiful bedroom with a lovely big double bed where you can lie in the mornings reading a book with the sun streaming through the windows and look out over the church spire and terracota rooftops of Cortes.

There is also a large en-suite bathroom with a bath tub, and leading off of the bedroom is a big sun terrace with fabulous 180 degree views of the whole valley.

Prices

The cottage rents at £420 - £480 per week or £80 per night for minimum 3 nights, based on 2 people sharing.
